Privacy
This site collects as little about you as it can. Here is exactly what it does and does not do.
What this site does not do
- It has no analytics.
- It sets no tracking cookies.
- It loads no third-party scripts.
- Its fonts are hosted on the site itself, not fetched from a font service.
Your cart
Your cart is kept in your browser, in local storage under the key fors-cart-v1, and stays there until you clear it or empty your browser data. It is sent to this site's server only when you check out or send an order request, so the server can price it. The server does not store it.
Checkout and payment
You pay on a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, shipping and billing addresses and payment details, and handles them as an independent processor under its own privacy policy. This site never sees your payment details.
The order details Stripe returns are shown once on the confirmation page. This site does not store them.
Order emails
When your payment goes through, Stripe notifies this site's server once. The server turns that notification into two plain-text emails and sends them through Resend, an email delivery service acting as the seller's processor: a confirmation to you and an order sheet to the seller. Both contain what you bought, your name, your email and your shipping address. Nothing is kept on this site's server afterwards.
Order requests
If you order through the order request form, the server turns what you send (your cart, name, email, phone, shipping address and message) into one plain-text email to the seller and sends it through Resend. Nothing is kept on this site's server. The seller keeps that email to answer you and fulfil your order, for as long as tax law requires.
If the form opens your email app instead, the server only writes out the text and sends nothing: you send the email yourself, from your own email account, and the seller keeps it as described above.
What the seller keeps
To fulfil your order, the seller receives the order sheet described above and can also see the order in Stripe: what you bought, your name, email and shipping address. It is kept for as long as tax law requires, and used only to make, ship and support your order.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server access logs for a limited time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for:
- access to the personal data held about you;
- correction of data that is wrong;
- erasure of your data, where the law allows it;
- a portable copy of your data.
